I started my working life as a legal secretary in one of the magic circle law firms, and took a sideways move into IT. At that time, I wanted to challenge myself further, so I signed up for a Diploma in Management Studies, and realised that’s where I wanted my career to go. Redundancy gave me the opportunity to progress up the career ladder into my first Management role for which I’ll be forever grateful. I’ve worked in the legal and financial sectors, in both corporate and not for profit organisations. The Service Desk is such a great place to lead, as its the starting point of people’s careers in IT, so I am in the enviable position of being able to support and guide my teams in their career progression – such a fulfilling place to be.
