From an early age I have always been surrounded by technology, which has influenced my interest in the field. I studied IT at GCSE level before deciding to progress with this into my A-Levels, where I got a B. The industry is well known for being male dominated and with my passion for IT, I have always been keen to make a change and encourage other women to look into IT and STEM in general as a potential career path.

During my apprenticeship I covered many elements of the tech industry, from working as a Field Engineer to working as part of the Networks department. I did rotations in all of Aspire’s technical departments: Service Desk, Networks, Projects, and Additionals, and through each department I learned from senior support technicians in these fields. The department I most enjoyed my experience with was Service Desk/Quick Fix and I decided to pursue this after my apprenticeship ended.

Having successfully completed my apprenticeship I now work on Quick Fix which is Aspire’s first tier of support, where I consistently receive good feedback from customers. I am currently studying towards my CompTIA A+ certification and MSCA Windows 10 to progress my career further.
